Overcome Barriers

COED (Continuing On In Education) provides opportunities for people to be valued and contributing members of the community. COED offers a fully supported, community based day program that promotes independence and inclusion to adults with intellectual disabilities. We provide assistance to individuals with personal goal setting; providing resources and opportunities to work towards the achievement of these goals. We encourage individuals to be valued and contributing members within their local community, and society. COED strives to provide each individual with the opportunity to acquire transferable skills while developing lasting, meaningful relationships.

The purpose of our program is to provide activities and educational opportunities that will increase our participants levels of self-sufficiency, self-direction and self-discipline. Our goal is to empower individuals to overcome barriers while reducing the risk of isolation for the participant, and also the caregiver.

  • Healthy active living through health and fitness and community participation

  • Providing instruction in communication and social skills, community integration, self-advocacy, independent living skills, music and arts

  • Offering experiences that will increase confidence, self-esteem and a sense of pride and belonging.
